Having sorted out your provisional licence and decided who is going to teach you to drive, be it a family member or professional instructor, you can finally take your first driving lesson. One thing to consider when selecting an instructor is the kind of car they provide. Most instructors will teach in a manual car, in which you will need to make gear changes, but some may use an automatic vehicle. Once you have got to know your instructor and are happy with their style of teaching you may want to book up a course of lessons as there are often discounts for multiple bookings in advance. You may instead decide to take an intensive course of lessons if you felt that this would better suit your circumstances. |
